He started with breeding pit bulls and then Old English Bulldogs, but his love for hunting and his fond memories of the hunting dog he had as a kid prompted him to embark on a new dream of owning and breeding German Shorthaired Pointers. His goal is to breed a line of dogs that are a) great companions, b) loyal family dogs, c) excellent hunters and d) have excellent conformation to the breed standards.
Our dogs are not raised in a kennel...they are raised in the home as members of the family by Todd and his wife. They even sleep in bed with them (all of them). Puppies are handled and loved from the second they are born, providing the necessary tactile and mental stimulation required for optimal development of their bodies and minds.
Todd started out by searching for the perfect female first. Roxy, from a breeder in Iowa, was the one. Todd and his wife drove 8 hours to and from Iowa to get her. Todd started out by searching for the perfect female first. Roxy, from a breeder in Iowa, was the one. Todd and his wife drove 8 hours to and from Iowa to get her. Her pedigree is full of a long line of champion hunters and NAVHDA dogs, and her aesthetic build even as a puppy caught Todd's eye. They loved her so much that they got a second pointer, named Hendo, from the same breeder (different parent dogs). Hendo also comes from a very strong line of hunting dogs. These two produced a fantastic first litter in 2020, out of which a special female, Lacy, was chosen to stay with the family.
In the summer of 2022, the couple found a worthy male puppy in Tennessee that matched the color markings, build, pedigree, temperament and upbringing that Todd was looking for. Rogan, as he was named, sired his first two litters with Roxy and Lacy during the summer of 2023 and produced some amazing puppies.
